Hey, where have I been?
It has been a hot minute since I posted anything to this blog. I think the reason for why is pretty obvious. Covid-19 has taken a piece from all of us, and the last thing that has been on my mind in these past seven months is updating my website blog. That and the blog option was removed from the mobile app, so quick and easy blog posts are no longer possible.
I have not been idle during these seven months, though. I have been working as hard as I can on my next novel. Writing is hard, and despite having oodles of time thrust upon me during this pandemic, somehow it has become harder. But I am trying my best to write as diligently as possible. I've filled two notebooks with my story and have been typing it up in chunks along the way, I don't want to set a date for when I will have the first draft finished, as that would apply a lot of unnecessary pressure, but I am hopeful to have it complete by the start of 2021.
My Facebook and Twitter pages are still updated on a regular-ish basis, so if I go radio silent again, you will be sure to find me there. Just to assure you all that, despite my silence, I am still working on my next book. Even when I'm not working on it, I am most certainly thinking about working on it. Ideas constantly bounce around my head like rubber balls, it's just a matter of collecting them all and getting them straightened out. It's a work in progress and, even if the progress is slow, it is progress nonetheless.
Thank you to everyone who has continued to support me and my writing career, particularly during these difficult and uncertain times. Thank you to everyone who has read, reviewed and sent love to The Seven in this past year and a half. It all means absolutely everything to me.
See you soon (hopefully),
Erin Curran
